Samantha Harfenist

 
 

Samantha Harfenist is currently studying at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, working towards her doctorate in clinical psychology. She received her Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology and Biology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While in her undergraduate career, Sam was an avid researcher in the field of feminism and Human Rights. Sam received her Master of the Arts in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University. For over ten years Sam has been involved in several non-profit organizations which focus on assisting the victims of human trafficking and complex trauma. Since embarking on her clinical studies in Chicago, Sam has begun working as a Clinical Consultant at Neurogenesis and plans to continue her training in neuropsychology as she advances through her doctoral program. As a doctoral student Sam has also obtained over 2,000 hours of clinical training, including assessment as a diagnostician at The Ark, as a therapy extern at Malcolm X City College, and a therapy extern in health psychology at Northshore Integrative Healthcare.
