Shakirat Shiyanbola is currently studying at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, working towards her doctorate in clinical psychology. She received her Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology from Indiana University/Purdue University in Indianapolis, IN (IUPUI). While in her undergraduate career, Shakirat was a researcher in the field of Sleep Hygiene. Shakirat received her Master of the Arts in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University. For about 2 years Shakirat has been involved in treatment with children on the Autism Spectrum, specifically ABA therapy. Since embarking on her clinical studies in Chicago, Shakirat has begun working as a Therapy Extern at Neurogenesis and plans to continue her training in psychological assessment as she advances through her doctoral program. As a doctoral student Shakirat has also obtained over 1,600 hours of clinical training, including assessment as a diagnostician at Riveredge Hospital, as a Master's Extern at New Connections Academy.
